Visceral Manipulation
Restoring movement and balance within your internal organs
Many people seek this treatment for digestive issues, pelvic pain, and ongoing discomfort that doesn't fully improve with traditional care.

Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a hands-on therapy that helps reduce pain linked to internal organ tension and restricted movement. Developed by French osteopath Jean-Pierre Barral, this approach focuses on restoring natural motion in the body to support better function and long-term relief.
VM assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction. It evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia and ligaments.
VM increases proprioceptive communication within the body, thereby revitalizing a person and relieving symptoms of pain, dysfunction, and poor posture. Imagine an adhesion around the lungs — it would create a modified axis that demands abnormal accommodations from nearby body structures, affecting ribs, the vertebral column, and beyond.

Who It Helps
Conditions That Respond
Women's & Men's Health
Chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, dysmenorrhea, bladder incontinence, prostate dysfunction, and effects of menopause.
Digestive Disorders
Bloating, constipation, nausea, acid reflux, GERD, and swallowing dysfunctions often have a visceral component that responds well to VM.
Musculoskeletal Pain
Chronic spinal dysfunction, headaches, carpal tunnel, peripheral joint pain, sciatica, and neck pain can all be driven by visceral restrictions.
Post-Surgical Recovery
Scar tissue from abdominal, pelvic, or orthopedic surgeries creates fascial restrictions that VM can help release.
Acute Injuries
Whiplash, seatbelt injuries, chest or abdominal sports injuries, concussion, and traumatic brain injuries.
Emotional & Nervous System Issues
Anxiety, depression, and PTSD often have a somatic component. VM addresses the body's physical holding patterns tied to emotional stress.
